Kumbh Mela : 2000 ‘Sadhus’ to be initiated as ‘Naga’ hermits !

Prayagraj (UP) – Process of initiation has been started in ‘Niranjani Aakhaadaa’ and about 2000 ‘Sadhus’ will be initiated as Naga hermits.In this process, these hermits will perform their own ‘Pinda-daan’ rites near ‘Sangam’ coast. This process will be completed by 13th February. During ‘Kumbh-Mela’, when ‘Mahamandaleshwars’ are appointed for various ‘aakhaadaas’, at the same time, the initiation process by ‘Naga’ hermits is also undertaken. A meeting of office bearers of ‘Niranjani aakhaadaa’ was held on 22^nd January at night in which the date of initiation was decided. After such initiation, the hermits have to undergo a very vigorous spiritual practice.
