Miscreants sets Shiva-Pindi’ in Sri Lingeshwar Temple on fire

Kudal (Maharashtra) : At Bhatwadi – Ghodge, an unknown miscreant set fire to ‘Pindi’ in Sri Dev Lingeshwar Temple. A case has been filed by the police against an unknown person for hurting religious sentiments of Hindus. The incident took place on 6th January. The unknown miscreant kept small wood-pieces on the ‘Pindi’ of Lord Shiva; kept plastic bag on them and set it on fire by pouring some kerosene over the wood-pieces. Mr. Balkrushna Bhagavan Gurav has lodged a complaint with the local police station that the incident has hurt religious sentiments of all local residents of the village. (Such things can be done only by idol-breakers. Police know that holy books of which community propagate that idol-breaking is a Dharma-karya; therefore, they can start investigations in that direction ! – Editor Sanatan Prabhat)

In-charge of the police station, Police Inspector, Mr. Satyawan Kadam visited the place of incident and collected information. Three years back, a mentally retarded person had tried to take away ‘God’s Tarang’ from this very temple. When the same person was interrogated after the above incident, it was found that he was not involved in this case and now his mental condition was good, informed PI Mr. Kadam.
