Hindus resolve to unite for protection of cows

 Kolkata :
A conference for protection of cows was organised by ‘Arya Pratinidhi Sabha (APS)’. All Hindus participating in this conference made a resolve to unite and work for protection of cows. While explaining the purpose behind holding such conference and present status of the movement for protection of cows, Acharya Yogesh Shastri, the Chief Officer of ‘Arya Veer Dal’ for West Bengal said, “Without unity amongst Hindus, no law for welfare of Hindus can be passed. Cow-slaughter has been prohibited by Court in West Bengal; but the decision has not been implemented as there is no follow up.” The conference was attended by Mr. Kishen Singh, the APS minister, Mr. Chittaranjan Sural, the Convener of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Mr. Deendayal Gupta, pro-Hindu leader, among others. Mr, Kishen Singh said, “It is very sad that cow-slaughter is taking place in Bharat. It is necessary to be always alert and work for protection of cows. Presently, cows are being stolen from the region of West Bengal which is connected to Bhutan, Bangla Desh and Nepal; it has to be stopped.” Mr. Arvind Mishra, a businessman from Kolkata said, “Cows are stolen from various States and sent to slaughter-houses in different States in truck-loads. We need to remain vigilant and stop such trucks in West Bengal.” Mr. Mishra also made an appeal to observe a day’s ‘bandh’ for creating awareness amongst Hindus and for their unity.” His appeal was supported by staunch Hindu leader, Mr. Deendayal Gupta. Mr. Chittaranjan Sural of HJS said, “Many organisations are working against attacks like cow-slaughter, conversions, love jihad etc. If all these organisations come together, it will create awareness amongst Hindus and that will pressurise the Government.” More than 45 devout Hindus and ‘gou-sevaks’ attended the conference.
