THE Griffin is a modified creature or sometimes monster with the body of a lion, human or other mammal with , the head and wings of an eagle, vulture or any bird and back covered with feathers. Like birds it builds its nest, and instead of an egg lays an agate therein.... a type of genetically modified type of mammalian egg. It has long claws and talons of such a size that the people of that country make them into drinking-cups. India was assigned as the native country of the Griffins. They found gold in the mountains of Himalayas and built their nests of it, for which reason their nests were very tempting to the hunters, and they were forced to keep vigilant guard over them. Their instinct led them to know where buried treasures lay, and they did their best to keep plunderers at a distance. These are found extensively in western , persian and mesopotamian stories. Even the Indian stories have many creature like this such as Vinata who is believed to have some modifications in her body (Probably genetic engineering) who gave a distinguish egg from which Garuda came out... Whose nephews were Sampati and Jatayu.. e Griffin, which is represented in many different cultures. Assuming that it is "real" it is not a creature that is likely to be found in nature. Consider: If you have a bird's body, it is highly specialized to sustain flight. Its bones are hollow, its body are arranged so that the muscles powering flight are in the chest rather than the wings, etc. etc. So... assuming that it is/was at one time real, the Griffin strikes me as something that might be an example of genetic engineering. Why? The obvious: It's composed of two distinctly different species. The location: India is also reported to be the site of an ancient nuclear war and genetic engineering as in ancient times there were thousands of variety of wheat and other plants were in india found ... with other great technologies of aircraft ..... so why this type of genetic engineering is not possible ?? as these are also accepted by western culture who had migrated from India to other countries ...as conveyed by Who were the Aryans ?? and many other organisations
