PLEASE SAVE HINDUISM IN NEPAL

Dear Fellow Hindu Brothers and Sisters:

Nameste and my deepest and most humble greetings.

I write this letter to all of you with the hopes that you will help protect and save Hinduism in Nepal as you are all related to organizations concerned with Hinduism.  I got all of your e-mails through searching the internet for Hindu organizations.  I hope that you will spare some time to read this mail.  And please do forward this mail onto other people who you think can help.

As you may all well know, Nepal was the only Hindu country in the whole wide world until a few years ago until when it was undemocratically changed from that status to one of a secular nation.  But I am not writing about that.  That is a political matter.  What I am writing about is the ways the politicians in Nepal have run all over our Hindu religious traditions.  Please see the attached photos with this mail.  These scanned photos are from the government run daily newspaper named Gorkhapatra, which is also the national daily of Nepal, from the date of Phagun 11, 2065 (February 22, 2009).

I do realize that it is all in Devanagari Nepalese, but that is the official language of Nepal, and I have hopes that Lord Pasupatinath will provide someone to translate the relevant text to you.  Anyway, I will give you the gist of what is on the two scanned photos in the paragraph below.

The first photo (named “1 The Photo In Question”) shows part of the first page of Gorkhapatra which has the president of Nepal offering prayers for Lord Pasupatinath on the occasion of Shivaratri.  The second photo is named “2 The Article In Question” and is from the third page of Gorkhapatra.  The related article is the one on the top left side.  The prayer in question is the prayer offered for the initial rites for Shivaratri, and this occurred on Phagun 10, 2065 (February 21, 2009).  As written on the third page and shown on the second photo named “2 The Article In Question,” this is the initial prayer of Shivaratri for Lord Pasupatinath, and this prayer officially starts Shivaratri in all the places of worship for Lord Shiva in Nepal.  There is also a sentence mentioning that the president was dressed in religious attire.  This was the first time that this rite was performed by anyone other than a King of Nepal since Nepal was founded.  As I am sure you are all aware, this year Shivaratri fell on Phagun 12, 2065 (February 23, 2009).

And on the photo named “1 The Photo In Question” and which appeared on the front pages of the national daily, on the left hand of the president, you will see that he is wearing a watch with a LEATHER WRISTBAND.  And only a FOOL would ever believe that the president of any country would wear a watch with imitation leather wristbands.

I am sorry if the resolution of the photos are not clear in this mail.  That is why I have also zipped the two photos and also attached them with this mail in a file named “Save Hinduism In Nepal.”

I am sure you are all aware that there is great diversity of beliefs prevalent in Hinduism.  Some Hindus will be strict vegetarians while others are not.  There is also a great deal of diversity in the way Hindu people observe the same festivals, and this can be seen not just in different parts of the world but also in the same neighbourhood.  For example, some Hindus will observe the festival of Dasain, which is also known as Dasara and Navaratri and also by many different names in different parts of the world, by following strict vegetarian rules and also by not even eating onions or garlic even though normally they may be non-vegetarians, and there are also some Hindus who perform animal scarifies on the very same festival.  Such is the diversity of our religion.  So one say there are not very many strictly followed rules in our religion.  We can all go our own way.  But there are still some universal don’ts.  Nowhere in our religion is it permissible to wear or bear any item of leather when partaking in an important prayer of Lord Shiva.  THIS IS A GRAVE AND SACRILEGIOUS ACT.  This is not the same thing as when one shrine or temple falls in your way when you are going elsewhere and you offer your prayers without even bothering to take off any items of leather on you.  And in any case, one does not go inside the temple or shrine in such a case after all.  The prayer in question is a significant part of the official ceremony for worshiping Lord Pasupatinath, the holiest shrine in the entire world for Lord Shiva on the occasion of Shivaratri, the most important festival for Lord Shiva.  THIS IS A GRAVE AND SACRILEGIOUS ACT.  And the president was praying on the behalf of all of Nepalese.  This is a great burden of sin that he has placed on the shoulders of all of us Nepalese.

There are many among of us who were wondering in the first place if any prayers offered by one of the same politicians who removed Hinduism as the official religion of our country in their lust for power would even be acceptable to Lord Pasupatinath, but this photo removes all doubt.  Even children know of this simple rule.  But the president did not even bother to observe this most minimum rule of our religion.  How arrogant and conceited is he and the other politicians?

I do not really know if it is true for this situation, but it is normally the case for such important rites that people observe a fast beforehand.  Unfortunately, that photo cannot show what is inside of his stomach, and quite frankly I do not have any confidence that he maintained that much self-discipline.  Not just because of what was on the photo, but also because, after all, he was a member of a political party, the Nepali Congress which is also the biggest opposition party in Nepal right now, before he became the president, the very same party that went against its own party constitution that was for a Hindu Nepal and which suddenly became secularist in an attempt to appease the then rebels, the Maoist Party, in the Congress party’s futile attempt to regain power.  They were the biggest party before the elections so they had their reasons to hope for a chance to regain power.  So you see, I have no confidence that such people will maintain the sanctity and dignity of our religion.

And I am sure you are aware, the Maoist Party led government of Nepal tried to change the centuries old tradition of having the main priest from South India for The Pasupatinath Temple.  Because of this, this most holiest of temples in our Hindu religion was closed for several days.

In Nepal, it is also customary for the head of the nation, now the president, to receive blessing from the Kumari of the capital city Kathmandu on Indrajatra, an important festival of Nepal.  As I sure all of you know, the Kumari is a Living Goddess.  But again, the same nagging doubt still remains.  Are such politicians even worthy of such an honour?  To give such a high religious honour to the same people who sold out our religion in their lust for political power?

What I want to ask is, why is it that the politicians only attack Hindu sensibilities?  And why is it only the Hindu festivals that they officially defile with their presence?  Why does the president not observe the holy month of Ramadan with our fellow Nepalese brothers and sisters of the Muslim faith?  Is it too hard for him?  Or is he not so secular?  And why does he not celebrate Christmas with our fellow Nepalese brothers and sisters of the Christian faith?  And that to at their most important church in Nepal?  Sadly, and with no disrespect meant to any Christian in any part of the world, Christians have a history of never agreeing on so many things so I do not think that all the Christians of Nepal agreeing on which is the most important church will ever happen.  But due to our country’s culture, history and heritage, we Hindus in Nepal have had no such problems till now.  Our country’s culture has always been rooted in Hindu tradition and so we have no confusions on which temples the head of state must go to on which occasions.

And do they even know with how high a honour they are being graced with?  Do they even care?  Looking at the photo, I do not think so.  To them, it is just another opportunity to get their photos printed on the papers, nothing else.  To them, it is just another opportunity for publicity, just another photo op sadly.

As a point of principle, such people should never even be allowed in Hindu temples or any other places of worship for other religions for that matter.  If they could not be true or respectful to their own religions, only fools would even hope that they would be respectful to other religions.  If Christians hand done the same thing, they would have been excommunicated.  If they had been Muslims, something may be even worse.  But you know, in our country, they have not just been defiling our traditional sacred Hindu rites with their presence, there have also been times when some temples have been inaugurated by ministers, people who voted to remove Hinduism as the official religion of our country.  How stupid is that?  Is there a provision for excommunication in our religion?  No priests should go to such people’s homes to perform any religious Hindu ceremonies required in their household let alone let them even near any temples.

The very politicians who removed the only Hindu Nation in the whole wide world are perpetrating all of these changes in our Hindu traditions.  And after all, it is our traditional rites that define our culture.  It would not be so bad if a high-ranking Hindu official, such as a Sankaracarya, had approved all of these changes but sadly these changes were not.

Our religion is the third largest religion in the whole world, the oldest one religion in the whole world, and there are Hindus in all parts of the world.  Hindu people have been overcoming prejudices against our religion in all parts of the world, but for our religion to be so disrespected in a country that was just recently the only Hindu Nation in the world, and that to by a member of the Hindu community?

I think I do not need to tell you that a place of worship, of whichever religion, belongs to the whole world.  And the disrespecting of one place of worship touches us all.  And this is not just any temple; this is in regards to the most important temple of Lord Shiva and that to on the occasion of Shivaratri.  Please, such a sacrilegious act will affect Hindus all over the world.  Please do something.

Is our religion to be so debased just to be a photo op for politicians who do not even respect our religion?  Is our religion just a plaything for them?  As I mentioned before, the politicians only target our Hindu religion.  Can no one do anything to stop them?

I hope that you will excuse me for wanting to remain anonymous, but right now Nepal is going through a very dangerous period, and I think that it be best not to be make so many powerful enemies.  People are still disappearing for speaking against the government (please see http://www.nepalnews.com/archive/2009/mar/mar17/news01.php).  And here I am speaking against not just against the government but also the very powerful opposition, and so…

I talked to priests, journalists, members of Hindu organizations, but sadly they are too afraid to do anything.

Please, do something.

If you have any questions, please do mail me, but please bear in mind that we in Nepal are facing an acute shortage or electricity.  Ever since when our government caused Pasupatinath Temple to be closed for some days and be kept in the dark, we in Kathmandu Valley have been having only about some hours of electricity per day.  And ever since Shivaratri, that has also decreased so that we are only receiving eight hours of electricity per day in two shifts of four hours in the a.m. and then also four hours in the p.m.  And by that I mean just that, but the fours hours may start at 4 a.m. in the morning and end at 8 a.m. on some days and also 12 a.m. till 4 a.m.  So we have to try to work, cook, do a lot of things etc. on these two slots of four hour.  Some people are already saying that these are all signs of Lord Pasupatinath’s displeasure.  Due to this, finding time for e-mailing is not that easy.  But I will try answer as quickly as possible.  This is also the reason I could not send the mail earlier; it took so much time to look for all of these e-mail address.

And lastly, I would like to express that we Hindus in Nepal were betrayed by people of the Hindu religion and not by any other religion.  I bear no ill will towards other religions.  Quite frankly, due to our liberal Hindu traditions, we in Nepal have had very few problems of a religious nature.

Glorious Victory of Hindus in Bhagyanagar. It’s Hindu unity again proves its enormous strength to ‘cow down’ the ‘Islamic bull’ in Bhagyanagar , where anti Hindu Congress Party and its ally MIM took a challenge to stop the Ram Navmi Procession at any cost.

Bhagyanagar has set an example that if such rallies are organized in each state twice a month in different places with a definite Hindu Cause with the whole hearted participation of all the Hindu Wings jointly, the Islamic demon in India have to take an refuge in Pakistan or Afghanistan without any option.

Bhagyanagar Shri Ram Navmi Utsav Samiti along with other Hindu organizations successfully organized grand procession in the city today on 1st April Sunday at 12 PM. The Shobhayatra created history with presence of more than 1.5 lakh devout Hindus. As per Shriram Channel’s Facebook page, more than 3 lakh Hindus participated in the event.

Also it was slap on the face of those, who tried to brand this Shobhayatra as ‘threat to communal harmony’ as there was not even single violent or unlawful incident.

The procession has faced lot of obstacles especially from the anti-Hindu Congress Government in Andhra Pradesh and its ally a Muslim political party MIM (Majsilh e Ittehadul Muslimin) . MLA of MIM Akbaruddin Owaisa had demanded complete ban on procession taken out in the city on the occasion of ‘Shriram Navami’ and ‘Hanuman Jayanti’. Subsequently, Hindu leader Sriman Thakur Raja Singh had been arrested with fake case few days ago. The procession was expected to be grand than last year and it appeared also by the Grace of Lord Rama.

From Delhi, Maharashtra and Karnataka, several Hindu organizations took part here. Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena, Sri Ram Sene, VHP and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti were participated. Special guests were VHP’s Mr. Surendra Jainji and Sadhvi Prachi Devi. Hindu leader Shri T Raja Singh in his short speech said, “ The Congress government will never do anything for Hindus. If you want to save this country and save Hindus, then completely oust the Congress government .”

While addressing the youth Shri Singh said, “This country’s youth have to fight and raise their voices. Each Hindu brother have to be like our national heroes Bhagat Singh and Chandrashekhar Aazad”. Compared to the last year the police didn’t force the Hindus to divert their regular route.

Like no surprise this time also the police seemed protecting Muslim Masjids (mosques) rather than lacks of Hindus participated in the procession. (One should note that Hindus had never attacked Mosques or Churches in the processions taken out on the occasion of Hindu Festivals. Such acts of Police expose their pro- Muslim stance !)

The procession began from Rani Avanti Bai Community Hall, Dhulpet and it ended in Hanuman Vyayamshala in Sultan Bazar. The speech of the guests held in Hanuman Vyayamshala at the end of the procession.

Highlights :

1. Many kids were dressed as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bhose, Maharana Pratap etc.

2. Groups of kids who were dressed as Shriram, Lakshman, Sita Mata, Hanuman and Vanar played various incidents in Ramayana.

3. The length of the procession was 7 kilometers.

4. HJS (Hindu janjagruti Samiti) members specially published Shri Ramnavmi pamphlets and distributed them in the procession.

5. Even though there was lot of pressure on the organizers, the procession has moved smoothly.

6. In Indur (Nizamabad) district, Bajrang Dal has taken the ideal of Shri Raja Singh and they organized a procession in Bodhan town also. Next year this pattern of Sri Ramnavmi rally will be conducted in every state in India including  Ayodhya.

7. No communal tension could be irrupted by the islamic zelots under keen vigil of Ram devotees.

8. The entire city was kept calm, cool and clean. No incident of public nuisance or  disturbance seen in such a mammoth gathering of Ram devotees.

9. The hospitality of Hyderabadi Hindu-Sikhs is worth mentioning.

10. Two lakhs of Ram devotees vowed to build Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple at Ayodhya and to protect Sri Ram Setu at Rameswaram. Jai Sri Ram.

New Delhi | 28 Mar 2012 | Post Jagran: A 27-year-old Tibetan youth who set himself ablaze during a protest against Chinese President Hu Jintao’s India visit two days ago died at a hospital on Wednesday morning.

“Pawo Jamphel Yeshi who was admitted in Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital succumbed to burn injuries Wednesday morning at 9 a.m.,” a hospital spokesperson said.

Yeshi, a resident of north Delhi’s Majnu Ka Tila, set himself on fire on Monday at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar where more than 100 Tibetans were protesting against Hu’s visit here for the BRICS summit. Yeshi was rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital with 90 percent burn injuries. He had poured fuel on himself and set himself alight before running towards the crowd where he collapsed. The Chinese president will be arriving in India on Wednesday for the BRICS summit of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

Hu Jintao visit triggers protests in McLeodganj

DHARAMSHALA | INDIA | TNN | Mar 29, 2012, 05.30AM IST:Arrival of Hu Jintao in Delhi on Wednesday triggered a series of activities inMcLeodganj, which is the nerve center for various Tibetan groups working across the globe and home to Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama.

Most of the Tibetan shops remained closed for the whole day and special prayers were organized in the main temple by various Tibetan groups, which later concluded with candle light vigils. Tibetan parliamentarians and other officials of the government-in-exile attended prayers in the late evening organized by the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA).

Meanwhile, the Tibetan who carried out self-immolation in Delhi a day earlier succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday morning, following which rallies were held in the town. Tibetans demanded that the dead body be cremated in McLeodganj. “We want that the body of the courageous Tibetan activist be cremated here with full respect as a martyr. He sacrificed his life for the Tibetan cause and we want that the Indian leaders and representatives of other countries should also raise the Tibetan cause at the BRIC summit,” said Dhoundhup Yeshi, a Tibetan activist.

Tibetans also condemned the arrest of protesters in Delhi by the police and demanded their immediate release.

Jintao responsible for creating mess: Speaker

Speaker of the Tibetan parliament-in-exile Penpa Tsering claimed that Hu Jinato was responsible for leaving minority nationalities in a mess and therefore it should be his responsibility to resolve the issue during the remaining period of his presidency. Otherwise he will go down as one of the most irresponsible leaders in the Chinese history. Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, he said, “Taking opportunity of the visit of President Hu Jintao to India, Tibetan Parliament-in-exile wish to remind all BRICS members that the situation in Tibet continues to deteriorate and China continue to implement inhuman brutal methods to suppress peaceful Tibetans inside Tibet. We urge the BRICS leaders to raise the issue of Tibet with president Hu Jintao along with Syria and Iran,” he added.

Chinese President’s visit to Delhi provokes Tibetan protests

New Delhi | NDTV Correspondent, March 28, 2012 18:05 IST :  China’s president, Hu Jintao, has arrived in Delhi for the fourth BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) summit. Worried about protests, the police has been detaining Tibetan activists in the capital, provoking strong criticism.

Here are five new facts on the story:

1) A man who set himself on fire in Delhi on Monday at a rally died in hospital this morning. Jamphel Yeshi was 27.

2) Around 1200 cops have been posted around the hotels where The Chinese premier and the delegation will be staying. Earlier, the protesters had attempted to storm Hotel Oberoi in Delhi where Chinese premiere Hu Jintao is staying. Police have arrested the protesters. This morning, the police detained 100 activists who were protesting against Hu’s visit at the United Nations office. Over 150 Tibetans have been taken in to preventive custody during the protests today. The Tibetan Youth Congress members were submitting a memorandum to embassies of all nations participating in the BRICS summit. Protests were also held at Khan Market and Jantar Mantar. There is heavy police presence in these areas.

3) The police removed activist-poet Tenzin Tsundue from a seminar yesterday at the India habitat Centre. The police is keeping a tight vigil in areas in Delhi with high Tibetan population to ensure that young Tibetans don’t come out of their homes to protest.

New Delhi, July 3: Indian cow and buffalo breeds possess a rich A2 allele gene that provides a better and healthier quality of milk than foreign breeds, according to a new study. The PTI recently reported about the study.

“The A2 allele gene in Indian milk breeds of cows and buffalos are 100 per cent, while in foreign breeds, it is around 60 per cent,” scientists of the National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources (NBAGR) have said in a report. Furthermore the frequency of this allele in Indian milk breeds is 1.0 (100 per cent), while in exotic breeds, it has been reported to be nearly 0.6 (60 per cent) or less, they added. Set up in 1984, NBAGR is an arm of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and is based in Karnal, Haryana.

The finding was arrived at after screening the status of the A2 allele of the beta casein gene in indigenous cows like Red Sindhi , Sahiwal, Tharparkar, Rathi, Gir, Ongole and Vechur etc, NBAGR Director B K Joshi said. “The counter allele to A2 is A1, which is considered to be associated with diabetic, obesity, cardiovascular diseases etc,” added Joshi. “Although the foreign breeds of cows produce more milk than Indian varieties, but due to more concentration of A1 gene in those breeds, the milk is of low quality,” the report said, adding that the long-term use of such milk may cause several health disorders.

The scientists scanned 22 breeds of Indian cows and found that in five milk yielding Indian cows — Red Sindhi, Sahiwal, Tharparkar, Rathi and Gir (see pics. above) — the status of the A2 allele was 100 per cent, while in other Indian breeds used for farming, its status was around 94 per cent, Joshi added. The scientists also scanned the status of this allele in the two most popular foreign breeds in India, Holstein Friesian and Jersey, in which the status of the A2 allele was 60 per cent only.

Swami fasting to save Ganga dies.

Dehradun:  As the Government and social activist Anna Hazare continue their war of words, Swami Nigmananda, who had been fasting for almost four months to protest illegal mining and stone crushing along the Ganga near Haridwar died at the Himalayan hospital in Jollygrant in Dehradun on Monday.

Jollygrant is where Baba Ramdev was lodged after breaking his fast.
Swami Nigmananda had been on a fast since February 19 this year and was forcibly taken to a local hospital in Haridwar on April 27 when his condition worsened after days of fasting. He was later transferred to the Himalayan hospital in Jollygrant earlier this month after he went into a coma and subsequently died on Monday.
His followers have asked for a CBI probe into his death allegeing that he was poisoned.

Swami Nigamananda Saraswati of Matri Sadan, Haridwar on 4-month fast to save Ganga, dies…

Dehradun: Swami Nigamananda Saraswati, a member of Matri Sadan, an ashram on the banks of the Ganga in Haridwar, had been on a fast for almost four months, died on Monday.

He was protesting against the illegal mining that is polluting the Ganga.

The Swami had recently gone into coma and was admitted to the Jolly Grant Hospital in Dehradun. Baba Ramdev had reportedly visited the Swami in hospital.

Earlier also, for almost three months in 2008, Swami Nigamanand Saraswati had gone on a fast to save Ganga from the illegal mining. eReport : IBN Live.

An Open Letter for Total Ban on Cow Slaughter in Bharat (INDIA).

Vande Gomataram.

Subject:  An appeal to ensure the complete prohibition upon Cow Slaughter abiding by the existing rules and regulation in force in different states in India along with the strict direction of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
Madam/Sir,

1. Under the laws enforced in this land with a wide view to natural justice to all creatures, honoring the Sanatani tradition of venerated  Cow progeny even as non hittable (aghna), respecting  the Cow as Go-Mata in highest esteem in the traditional scriptures, contemplating the importance of Cow progeny in Indian agriculture, health, medicines and economics based upon its blessings upon us and obviously to be humane by resisting the animal cruelty, most of the states have been formulated its own rules and acts in favor of banning Cow Slaughter even in Bakri Idd.
2. But, very unfortunately going to the utter contradiction to the above, in most of the cases Cow progeny are being slaughtered very cruelly in a disgusting gruesome way, sometimes with the help of local administration and politics, only to appease a minority section hurting the majority by violating all the norms so framed by the states very illegally, unreasonably and undemocratically. Though all the Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Buddhists, Arya Samajists  and the  Sanatani and Vedic followers want a total ban on cow slaughter in Bharat, as a matter of humiliation of all Bharat Dharma, the rampant cow slaughter is going on violating all the norms in force.
3. As an example, the state of West Bengal, now Paschimbanga had given permission in the last year to slaughter Cows in Bakri Idd under the section 12 of the WB Animal Slaughter Control Act 1950, very intrigue-fully going against the verdicts of Hon’ble Calcutta High Court and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
4. It is a wide known fact that being aggrieved Sri Kedar Nath Brahmachari and 26 others filed a petition against the State of West Bengal and 20 others for which Hon’ble Calcutta High Court passed an order to ban cow slaughter even in Bakar Idd, vide 1982(2) Kokata, HN dated 20.8.1982.
5. The State of West Bengal filed an appeal in Supreme Court of India against the above order of Calcutta High Court vide CA 6790/1983 – State of West Bengal & Others. –vs– Ashutosh Lahiri & Others. for which the Hon’ble Supreme Court maintained the order of Calcutta High court to prohibit the Cow slaughter in Bakri Idd  as such slaughters being unconstitutional and directed the State to take measures to stop such illegalities.
6. Despite of that in West Bengal and other States at least 30 lakhs (5 lakhs in West Bengal) healthy, milky, cultivating and capable Cow progeny are slaughtered very unfortunately within a political nexus of Chairman, Sabhapati of Panchayet Samity and the official authorities in various departments.
7. As aggrieved by the gross violation of the Slaughter Control Act enforced in different States time and again and felt detrimental to the majority Hindu sentiment in general, various forums filled many petitions in the designated Courts for getting justice to stop cruelty upon animal and especially mentionable the petitions filed in the Honb’le Calcutta High Court by Akhil Bharat Krishi Go Seva Sangha, Arya Pratinidhi Sabha, Sri K K Singhania, Sri Abhijit Das & Enamul Haque and others.
8. It is also mentionable that the esteemed Islamic Institution “Darul-Uloon-Deoband” also declared a Fatwa describing not mandatory to slaughter cows in Bakri Idd and requested not to do such accordingly. The extract of the Fatwa can be obtained from the news published in Dainik Jagran dt. 13.06.2006.
9. But unfortunately, the chain of illegal slaughter is in vehemently increasing, killing healthy, capable and milking cows, while the children of the poor families are dying do to malnutrition and don’t get a single drop of cow milk in this land of “Gopal”. As per report of the UNICEF entitling “World Children Status Report-2008”, every day 5000 children are dying in India due to malnutrition.
10. It is well established that the Cow progeny is the foundation of our agriculture, health, conventional & renewable energy source and the all round development of this Sanatani Land with a highest veneration to Go Mata and Go Palak (Cow Savers). And butchering these very calm and pretty animals hitting the religious sentiments of Hindus must attract the provisions of Section 153 and 295 of Indian Penal Court.
11. Again, a Seven Judges Bench in the Honb’le Supreme Court of India gave the verdict in CA No.4937-4940 of 1998 being the case of State of Gujrat & Others Vs. Mirajapur Moti Kureshi Kasab & Others.  [2005/ SCCL.Com-735] propounding the importance of Oxen over the age of sixteen years for their utility in case of agricultural manure and recycling energy production from its dung and urine and consequently prohibited oxen slaughter even over 16 years of age of it.
12. Cow slaughter is completely prohibited without any discrimination of age or condition in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattishgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Gujarat etc., but the total prohibition of Holy Cow progeny in the length and breadth of this Holy Land is still awaited within a suitable Constitutional amendment.  On the other hand the violation of existing slaughter prohibitory rules and regulations are inciting the Hindu sentiments by some communal elements finding the loop holes of the police and administrations by the way.

In this context, these are our earnest requests to the effect that:

A. Please maintain and give full protection to the Prohibitory Acts on Cow Slaughter on Bakri Idd this year on 7^th November, 2011 and to extend full cooperation and security to all forums to restrain these illegal slaughters in their activities to help the police and administration on spot of occurrence of illegal slaughters in every state, especially in West Bengal.

B. Please form a task force in each level comprising Govt. officials and the related NGOs to restrain illegal cow slaughter in every place, especially in West Bengal. Please stop all Cow markets set up for Bakri Idd and ban interstate import-export of cow progeny for slaughter as a mandatory measure.

C. Please apply the provisions of National Security Act (NSA) against the perpetrators for the violation of Animal slaughter Control Acts.

D. Please set a high strategy team for banning all type of Cow progeny slaughter under illegality and to monitor the prohibition and utilization through videography in surface and even through helicopter in the disturbed area due to cow slaughter.

E. Please start legal proceedings against BDO (Block Development Officer) and the Officer-In-Charge of the Police Station of the respective Block and the police station where the cases of illegal cow slaughter may occur violating the existing rules and regulations.

F. Please construct the Cow Rehabilitation Center in each district to maintain the rescued Cows and Oxen from illegal slaughter with a coordination of the various “Gosewa Goraksha Sangathan”  (Cow Rehabilitation & Protection Organizations) for a sustainable development of Indian agriculture, health, economy, energy, traditional medicines and ecology.

Historical Judgment of Hon’ble Calcutta High Court completely banning Open Cow Slaughter on Bakri Idd Day.

Calcutta High Court directed to ban on Qurbani outside Slaughter House on Bakri Idd Day as not a mandatory religious act under Islam.

Kolkata, 3rd Nov, 2011 || In a land mark judgment passed on 2nd November, 2011, by the decision bench headed by Chief Justice of Kolkata, Mr J. N. Patel and Mr. Ashim Kumar Roy (J), the Cow Slaughter on Bakri Idd and trading of Cattle for sacrifice at Cattle markets have been banned by the Hon’ble Calcutta High court directing that “the all Officials of the State and local bodies have no power to facilitate holding of markets for trading of cattle for sacrifice and also the movement of cattle for the said purpose on the occasion of Id-uz-Zoha festival to be celebrated on 7th, November, 2011.”

The venerated Bench had upheld the decisions and orders of the Apex court and others in the identical matters in 1994, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2010 categorically directs the Chief Secretary of West Bengal : “ We, therefore direct the State Government through its Chief Secretary to see that such arrangement and/or markets in the State of West Bengal are not conducted for trading of cattle for sacrifice and which is otherwise not permitted under the West Bengal Animal Slaughter Control Act, 1950 and the Chief Secretary and all functionaries of the State and local bodies would strictly implement the order passed by this Court from time to time for effective and meaningful implementation of the said Act.” Even the Hon’ble Calcutta holds that “no such facilities can be provided for trading of cattle for sacrifice.”

On the merit of Order above of Calcutta High Court Order, Sri Ashoo Mongia, the chief of Rashtriye Goraksha Sena, (RGS), Pt. Yoges Shashtri of Arya Veer Dal and Some Go-Bhakta went to raid on 2-3^rd November night in Dumdum area (KOLKATA) to capture illegal cow transport in Kolkata. While they captured some cows and calves at that point, the Police let them take away by the butchers and transporters on the plea on non-availability of any such strict orders passed by the Hon’ble High Court banning Open Cow Slaughter out side slaughter house including cow trading for Qurbani (sacrifice) with illegal cow trading and cow transportation for illegal sacrifice. At the time of rude scuffles and altercation Ashoo Mongia and the other cow savers were attacked by the Muslim hoodlums with deadly weapons. Though rescued by the Police, the Police on duty helped the Muslim Transporters to take away the cows in to the illegal markets in Kolkata. These are the notorious activities of the Police against the Court verdicts. The Police and Administration are doing rape over the Constitution and the Courts. The Muslims leaders are saying that they have won the case to run Qurbani without any impediment. The Govt. of Mamata Banerjee is all responsible for these flouting of Laws. Government should make aware the real facts through advertisement. No Cow Slaughter or Cow market should be made on Bakri Idd in West Bengal as per High court order passed on 2nd Nov 2011.

The teams of Rashtriya Go Raksha Sena headed by Ashoo Mongia and Upananda Brahmachari and Bangiya Arya Pratinidhi Sabha headed by Anand Kumar Sharma and Acharya Yogesh Shastri met various authorities in Administrative and Police Departments for appealing them to take the cognizance in case of flouting the Court orders in any manner.

In the due course of discussion with Mr Javed Shamim, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Control), Kolkata, the Rashtriya Go Rkasha Sena appealed to make a joint team to raid the illegal cow transport and cow markets around Kolkata.
