New Delhi : A day after the Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit's said that 'Delhi is unsafe for women,' a Chineese girl was allegedly raped in south-Delhi's Hauz Khas area.
The FIR of the case has been registered at the Hauz Khas Police station while the accused who has been identified as Tariq Sheikh has been arrested. The accused will be prodeuced in a Delhi court on Thursday.
So far, the probe has revealed that Tariq is a management student in a Hauz Khas based institute and works a part-time event manager. While the victim, who is a tourist was staying in the Hauz Khas area.
Investigating officers have also pointed out that Tariq had befriended the girl and later raped her. The victim has been rushed to AIIMS for a medical examination. Meanwhile, further probe in the case is still going on.
