Several Bangladeshi Muslim Infiltrators arrested in Bangaon and Barasat

People feel need of more vigilance to quell this vicious design

Despite several petitions of nationalist organizations to administration in the realm of Bengal to call this a halt, illegal infiltration of Islamists from Bangladesh to India remains unabated and what can be its real extent was witnessed following BSF’s (Border Security Force) latest bid to nab the infiltrators. All these happened on November 5, 2012 at the Petrapol border area in Bangaon, District: 24 Paraganas (North), Bengal; 23 Bangladeshi Muslims including women and children were taken hold of finally.

According to police, these infiltrators do hail from an assortment of areas inBangladesh including Narail, Jessore, Magura, Barisal, Gopalgunj and they were presented in the Bongaon District Court on November 6, 2012. Later, owing to absence of valid documents, arrested Bangladeshi Muslims were handed over to personnel in P.S. Bongaon.

The arrest of such a large number of Muslim infiltrators from Bangladesh has gladdened people in the border area; they are having a sigh of relief at the moment. Some of them feel that they can count on BSF finally.

On the same day (November 5, 2012 – Monday), P.S. Barasat, armed with a tip only, got successful in arresting 7 Muslim infiltrators (from Bangladesh) from Chanpadali area in Barasat. As per police, this group did also use Petrapol border area to enter India deviously. The majority of them do belong to District: Narail inBangladesh and some of them are Jewel Sheikh (age 22), Shamim Biswas (age 23), Humayun Sheikh (age 22), Mizanur Mollah (age 38), Zannat Begum (age 18).

However, while talking to people in Barasat of this event, mixed feelings were found. People continue to feel that a single day’s effort can’t defeat an avalanche and as per them, there is the need to conduct more such drives (stringently, dedicatedly and regularly).

It is worthwhile to mention, successive and unchecked Muslim infiltration fromBangladesh through decades have led to massive demographic changes in the Indian state of Bengal

Gunaseelam Temple

Site Type:
 Hindu temple
Location:  Gunaseelam, near Trichy, Tamil Nadu state, India
Highlights: It is believed that mentally ill people get cured in this temple; due to this belief a huge number of such people are made to visit the temple; there is even a rehabitation center located near the temple
Nearest Railway Station: Trichy
Nearest Airport: Trichy
How to reach: Well connected by road from Trichy
Hotel: Go to Trichy where there are a lot of options
Restaurants: Go to Trichy where there are a lot of options

Gunaseelam is a small village located at a distance of around 20 kms from Trichy city in South India. The village has become popular of late due to Prasanna Venkatachalapati temple located here. Although there are a lot of Divya Desam temples (108 important shrines of Lord Vishnu) are located near Trichy city, this particular temple of Vishnu attracts more number of devotees although it is not a Divya Desam.

Temple Structure:

The temple is very simple in its structure. There is a small temple tower and flag post. Apart from the main shrine, there is only one small sub-shrine in the entire temple. The temple just has one wide prakara (the corridor around the main shrine). Although the legend claims that the temple is thousands of years old, the current structure is very recently renovated; hence, it looks like a modern temple constructed nowadays.

The main deity of the temple is Lord Prasanna Venkatachalapati (a form of Lord Vishnu). He is in the standing posture with four hands - somewhat similar to Tirumala Tirupati Balaji idol. The temple doesn't have Goddess. The procession (utsava) idol Srinivasa is found along with his two consorts in the main shrine itself.

In the prakara, there is a small shrine for Vikanasar, the founder of Vaikanasa agamam. It is believed that Lord Vishnu himself was born as Vikanasar. I am not sure if there is any other temple where the idol of Vikanasar can be found.

The wall around the main shrine has the sculptures of Navaneetha Krishna, Narasimha, Varaha and Yagna Narayana as the Goshta deities.

Gunaseelam Temple
Legend:

As per the legend, Thaalpiya Maharishi along with his disciple Gunaseela Rishi went to Himalayas. On their way back, they stayed in Tirupati. Gunaseela was so attracted to Lord Venkatachalapati of Tirupati that he wished to have the Lord in his place (called as Gunaseelam nowadays).

After he came back to his place, he performed severe penance. Pleased by his devotion, the Lord Venkatachalapati stayed here. The rishi offered daily poojas to the Lord. At the beginning of Kali Yuga, as per the request from his Guru, Gunaseela left for Naimisaranya by appointing his disciple to perform daily poojas at Gunaseelam.

Due to fear of wild animals, the disciple left the place unattended. The idol got immersed in a pit. Several years later, a Chola king named Nyana Varma was ruling this region with Uraiyur as his capital. Everyday, the cowherds used to milk the cows near the pit. One day, the milk that was filled to the brim of the pot vanished all of a sudden. The king heard a divine voice which ordered him to dissolve the pit by pouring milk. He thus discovered the idol and built this temple.

Suppression of Hindus : 140th Day of unjust ban on HJS ‘Facebook’ page

Margashirsha Krushnapaksha 9, Kaliyug Varsha 5114
On 19 August 2012, the Congress Government in the Centre, imposed ban on the website of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and its ‘Facebook’ page. The ban was lifted on 18.10.2012 after HJS held demonstrations and submitted representations to the Government; however, the unjust ban on its ‘Facebook’ page has not been lifted till 5th January 2013. ( Dr. Zakir Naik insulted Sri Ganesha during Ganesha Festival from his ‘Face book’ account. Devout Hindus lodged complaints against him with more than 55 police stations and at 3 places, cases have been filed against Dr. Zakir; but after 3 and half months, no ban has been imposed on his ‘Face book’ page. On the other hand, Congress Government, that has imposed ban on the ‘Facebook’ page of patriotic organization like HJS, is supporting fanatic and Hindu-hater Dr. Zakir Naik. There is no alternative to establish Hindu Rashtra (i.e. the Nation ruled by righteous people for the welfare of the whole world) to bring about change in this situation ! – Editor SP )

Solution to global warming lies in Indian spirituality : Modi

Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi
Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) : Hailing Indian spirituality for having solution to problems such as global warming and terrorism, Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi today said the world was yet to realise its full potential.

"The world has accepted the power of our youth in information technology, but it has yet to realise India's power of spirituality. Solutions to so many global problems such as global warming lie in the path shown by our saints, through our spirituality," he said.

Modi said this at the closing ceremony of the 60th Youth Anniversary celebrations of the Aksharpurshottam Swaminarayan Sanstha here today.

"At present, humankind is struggling to thwart the environmental crisis created because of global warming. Who has the capacity to show a way out of it? Our country is the place on earth where our saints had given the status of 'mother' to nature," he said.

"As soon as the world realises the message of our saints and spiritual leaders, it will find solutions to all crises," he said and added that, "in the philosophy of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' lies the answer to terrorism".

The grand finale of Bochasanwasi Shri Aksharpurushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha's 60th anniversary celebrations was held at the Sardar Patel Stadium here where more then 25,000 youth from all over India, USA, Canada, UK, East Africa, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Dubai had assembled.

Pramukh Swami Maharaj, who is not in good health, blessed the gathering through his video message and congratulated them for "upholding satsang and service to parents as well as country".

The celebrations was themed on six values portrayed through colourful dances, dramas, parades and more than 1,600 children and youth performed on stage.

    Russia-ISKCON

    Jai Shri Krsna!
It is distressing to know that presently the sacred Gita is being put to trial in Russia. We are confident the ISCON will emerge victorious against these sons of Dhratrashtra. yatra yogeshwara krsna yatapartho dhanurdhara, tatra shri vijayo-bhutird hruva nitirmatirmam-
I have dedicated my life to the study of Sanskrit and Hinduism. We know that the charge levelled against the Gita is baseless and mischievious However to bring out the point in uptodate context, it is necessary to see the contents of the suit. Such things should be thoroughly examined and exposed. Kindly E-mail me a copy of the suit so that the mischief may be given an exposure it deserves.
